Where do we do it.......
We are a Group Member of Waveney and Oulton Broad Yacht Club which allows us to use their premises at Nicholas Everitt Park next to the water. This offers us great facilities for sailing off the jetties.
The clubhouse has a canteen area which comes alive when we're sailing. Our refreshment volunteers make a great cup of tea and many of our volunteers are fantastic cake makers!
See the map on the contacts page for details of how to find us.
Who does it........
- Anybody with a disability over the age of 9 is welcome to come along on a Tuesday afternoon and have a cup of tea and a chat to find out more.
- Anybody who would like to become a volunteer on or off the water can come along and find out more about joining us. We always need wet volunteers (who teach sailing, drive the safety boats, launch the boats and put them away) and dry volunteers (who operate hoists, man the refreshments, help with life jackets, book sailing sessions etc.) All these activities are vital to enable us to thrive and we need as many helpers as possible to spread the work load.
- Anybody who would like to become a sponsor and help to guarantee the continuing success of Waveney Sailability.
See our Contact Us page for details of how we can be reached. Or - come and see what's going on at Oulton Broad on most Tuesday afternoons.
Will I like it????........
WE OFFER TWO TRIAL SESSIONS BEFORE YOU REGISTER AS A MEMBER. Discover what it's all about by visiting us on a Tuesday afternoon
